Import animation without its original skeletal mesh

There is this guy, who shared a lot of animation. ( Free Character animations in bip and FBX [Download] - Community Content, Tools and Tutorials - Unreal Engine Forums )
But I don’t know how could I use the fbx files, since they use a different skeleton, than the default character. If I’d have any mesh with this skeleton, I could import them, than I could make it work with Retargeting, I guess. But I don’t have a mesh, and even if I did, I wouldn’t need it.

Any ideas how to use these files?

(- I have 3Ds Max if it would be necessary for the solution
