Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Office Holiday

Epic Games' offices will be on holiday from June 22nd to July 7th. During this period support will be limited. Our offices will reopen on Monday, July 8th. 

Connect launch tool to Xcode? Or connect UE4 to Xcode?

On the Level Editor Toolbar it has a launch feature. How do I connect it to Xcode or an IOS device? I can't find any info on the launch tool itself in great detail explaining if that's what I should be doing. I made it make a mac version of the game but not an IOS.

  1. I go to file, package, IOS In UE4

  2. It makes a .IPA file on my mac.

  3. I put it where the official doc says it goes.

  4. On the Xcode simulator it shows two cubes floating around on the IOS device. I've tried other ways but it always shows up as a blank white page or the two cubes.

Anyone know how to steer me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

I think I've got this to work. If you go through Xcode and sign in. Then are able to hook your device and do a simulation on the on the device. After that reset your computer. Launch Xcode and open a project. Launch UE4 and it's project. Next to the launch tool is an arrow. The device should show up and run. Most likely there is an easier way to do it but that's the way I got it to work.
