Crash when baking light on Custom Mesh geometry

Using the CustomMeshComponent plugin I generate a mesh in the construct script of a blueprint. If at any point I try to bake light (on Production) the editor crashes to desktop immediately.

  • Removing the custom geometry from the scene and re-baking the light does work.

ps. It would be very helpful if the crash dialogs would show the error instead of a blank message window.

Thank you for your report. We were not able to investigate this on the engine version you reported, but there have been many version changes to UE4 since this question was first posted. With a new version of the Engine comes new fixes and it is possible that this issue has changed or may no longer occur.
