Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

problem using mocap data using ART tools V1

I'm running into a strange problem when importing FBX mocap data onto the UE4 mannequin using the ART tools from the marketplace. Here is a breakdown of the problem:

  1. Create a Mannequin character using the add character for animation command.

  2. Select the import Mocap button and select the FBX file which has the Mocap data. (The mocap data has been previously retargeted onto the proper skeleton structure for the UE4 mannequin).

  3. I'm trying to apply the data to both IK and FK controls and only solving for the Knee vectors.

  4. Only one frame of animation data comes across.

I'm running Maya 2017 but the same problem happens in Maya 2016. I've been using FBX 2014/2015 when exporting the data.

Any help would be appreciated.

I got a similar issue. It could be a root orientation problem. In my case I had my animation Y-axis up oriented in motionbuilder and that caused an error when I tried to import in maya with ARTtool (z-axis up oriented).

I solved it rotating the root bone by 90 degree on X in MoBu to facing the correct orientation.
