I was just following the Advanced AI tutorial with Ian and Mieszko and am unable to get the Gameplay Debugger to show the amount of debug information like in the video. I have everything set up verbatim but only the “Basic data” portion of the GDT seems to show up. Is this a change in how GDT is meant to work or maybe a bug like according to this bug report from last May:
I’ve tried going into Editor Settings and binding keys to the Level Viewports shortcuts (Show AI Debug, Show Gameplay Debug, Show On Screen Debug) but no dice, and those seem to be the only available options pertaining to GDT remaining in Editor Settings, or the Show-menu in the viewport itself. When you hit the ’ button and bring up your basic data, you should see a line at the top for buttons to add more info, the one they used was numpad 4, which shows AI data
Thank you! I checked those menus but failed to spot that for some reason, I just assumed it might’ve been deprecated or changed to another method since the video didn’t mention it and the GDT had been renamed to Gameplay Debugger and all its Editor Settings changed. Now I can finally debug and finish this tutorial!
That’s a different version, so I don’t know about yours, but that is only for simulation, if you run your game in pie editor or any non sim you wont get that info. When outside of simulation mode you have to use ’ and 4 for ai perception and the whole bar is at top of all commands
I can’t get the Debugger to show any infos… Not event the basic thing… There is just NOTHING showing up when hitting ’ Key or any other key…
And i tried every key on my K8 (60%, so no Numpad) from single key presses… To Ctrl+/Shift+/Alt+/Tab+ - Commands…
It just shows nothing…
I dunno if that’s a problem with the 5.3 source and missing shortcuts… Or my German Keyboard layout… Or anything other… I just don’t know what to do anymore…
