Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

If you experience this error during the start of the program.you need to (re)install the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, either via Windows Update or download and directly install the Visual C++ Redistributable. Hey Zermatox-

This is likely due to Visual C++ redistributables failing to install correctly. These steps should update the appropriate files for you:

1) Install Windows Updates

  • Go to Start - Control Panel - Windows Update

  • Check for updates

  • Install all available updates.

  • After the updates are installed, restart your computer.

  • After the restart repeat the steps above again until no more updates are available.

2) Download the Visual C++ Redistributable:

3) Run the vcredist_x64.exe (64-bit) or vcredist_x86.exe (32-bit) and select Uninstall

4) Run the .exe again and select Install

Hi :) I fixed this problem 5 minutes ago, I wanted so much to help you yesterday, because I had the same problem and could not find an answer.

  1. Go to "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features"

  2. Locate "Microsoft visual C++ 2015" (32bit / 64bit depends on your operative system)

  3. click [Change]

  4. then hit [Repair]

  5. After your computer has repaired it, you restart your computer and enjoy EU4.14.3

PS: it could happen that you need Microsoft .NET 2015 to start it, but then it will appear on the screen when you start up :)

Hello! Thank you for helping me, but the startup error still shows up.

I have done every step you listed in order, but it still doesn't startup. The Visual C++ I think you're talking about is called Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) - 14.0.24212, am I correct? If so, I have done step 2 correctly, and I also did steps 3 and 4, then restarted. After restart, I went to go open it ( desktop shortcut ) doesn't work, nor "Run as administrator" and launching the program from Epic Games Program.

Thank you, but I'm still confused, I don't know if I have done something wrong. Still shows up the System Error message:

"The program can't start because api-ms-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

If you can help me further, that'd be fantastic, thank you for helping! :) :) :)
