Hey,
is there a way i could use some of the osts of UT99 GOTY for free?
im making a game and soon the gameplay will be finished and i’ll move on to music and sound effects. Sound effects i can handle but the music, even though i have a great imagination and creativity and can make them in my head, making it on a program such as LMMS is not the same.
So thats when i thought about using music from old games. My idea is that those said games, since few players still play it altogether, companies might not be as restrictive of their copyrigth and allow some independ users/developers touse some of the content. In this case the SoundTracks.
Being a UT fan i would love to use its music if anything else, as a tribute for the game, which btw i still own and works perfectly on windows 7. Im not sure which i would use but the themes for Facing Worlds and Liandris Facility are up there.
Also this request is to be able to sue the osts completly for free, although, first of all i would credit you(Epic Games) and the game for the music and in the unlikely chance my game would become popular and earn a great deal of cash, i would always remenber this and be sure to “Thank You” accordingly.
PS: I asked this to the suport and they sent me here to make a new topic, but im prety sure this topic doesnt quite suit this area.
