UE4 packaging in UE 4 absolutley destroys my PC, also fails cooking

While trying to package a project in UE4 for windows X64, it always reaches 100% cpu + memory, causing my pc to have to restart from mass amounts of lag. Sadly, I cannot retrieve a log due to the fact that it crashes, but while reading it while its in the middle of packaging, I noticed that there were a bunch of errors revolving around vines and flowers that came from Infinity Blade: Plains. It was saying that the UVS were too close together… I don’t know what to do other than completely removing them from the project (Which I have not tried yet, but betting its going to work) .

can’t say anything about the crash, but about the “100% CPU + Memory” it’s something expected, packaging a game demands a lot of performance, once it took me 4 hours to package my game, i have a FX 6300 and 8GB RAM, the CPU was really close to 100% during the entire process, and the RAM was at 60%-80%, when i have to package my projects i just let my computer alone. About your computer restarting i can think of 2 possibilities: overheating or some problem related to power supply, try monitoring the power supply and temperature from your computer during the packaging process.

Ok, thanks.

The reason it is taking some much cpu power is when you build the game it has to build every shader in the game when it builds, which is an overkill on your cpu, like veccher said make sure your power and temps are good, your cpu might be shutting down during build from overheat and causing the fail

I see. Thank you.
