Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Reading a Joystick Axis in an Editor Plugin

Hi People!

I am currently creating an Editor Plugin. It requires to read the axis values of two joysticks. However I was not able to find a way to do that without Input Components, Axis Mappings and all that other stuff.

I just want to read a few buttons and axis from native C++ without UObjects.

Any hints?

Thank you! Jannes

Noone got an idea?

At this point I would be happy to do it the usual way. But having player controllers around in editor does not seem to make too much sense to me...

I resolved the issue by integrating SDL into my plugin.

If you have a similar issue but dont want to go through the pain of learning how SDL works - you can buy this elegant plugin to do the job: Controlyis on Marketplace
