Landscape Tessellation

Hello,

I recently noticed when my different landscape tiles meet, the tiling is off by a few pixels.

The weird part is that not everywhere the gap accures. It happens completely random and sometimes its also gone (but reappears when I open the project on another day)

World Displacement function I use;

TessellationMultiplier Function (creates a mask around the user that will be tessellated).

Anyone experiences this before and might knows what is going on? Currently my only solution would be to create another paint option that doesn’t contain any displacement just for fixing the edges.

Did you try Crack Free displacement checkbox in material settings? It should eliminate the issue.

I’ve tried but sadly crack free displacement hasn’t quite worked for me lately.

The selection box shows the landscape is getting tessellated but the terrain remains flat. :frowning:

Crack Free Displacement is supposed to fix this issue, however there is currently a problem with it flattening terrain. I am not certain, but a fix should be in the works.
