Why Unreal Engine didn't auto create lightmap when baking

Unreal Engine can understand right rendering with correct shading for dynamic object but with lower perfomance and bad quality.

Why he can’t use this knowledge for static meshs when baking light? Why need to create lightmap UV for him, if he enough know how need create light on the dynamic mesh and can make own UV coordinates.
I think there is a little script to check dynamic shadows, and make by them UV’s for static, isn’t?

UE4 is not a being, therefore its not a he or she.
Please just google ue4 lightmaps to understand why they are needed.
Just… please.

Dynamic lighting and shadows does not use any uv’s.

I understand which function lightmaps offer.
and UE4 may be a being for me, I can’t say about it - “it”.

It’s more feature request. please read again - if UE4 know how rendering dynamic objects, why not create lightmaps by null for himself.

I understand this very well, but if you know how render dynamic objects, why you can’t make UV for static?

There is no relation between dynamic and static lighting. Engine can make lighmapUV’s for you if you just open static mesh editor and toggle single switch.

it can’t make UV if base UV null.
I talking about different thing, which may be give great opportunity for us in the future

Why didn’t you said this at first. So right problem is that lightmap uv generation does not work without source uv?

I said it in different words

and simple UV don’t suite like flatten UV, smart UV or some Unwrella staff. there are make UV on geometry features. There is need more extended approach with understanding how dynamic light work in Unreal Engine, I think

Not understand why moderator Lois mark unanswered questions as answered.
may be for statistics purpose. it didn’t any sense. how epic will receive call back?

because you already made your point, and now the answerhub post turned into a discussion thread. that is not the goal of answerhub.

I not made any point. It’s not discussion.

It’s feature request. and I need an answer - it’s request acceptable or not
