Sequencer losing references when splitting into levels

I have a large level I’m splitting up into sub-levels for easier scene management. The issue I’m having is that Sequencer is losing all the references to the actors in the scene. I’ve tried setting everything to “always load” but it still doesn’t find them. I can revert the issue by reassigning the actors to the persistent level (though that doesn’t allow me to use level splitting). Is there a way to acheive my desired result without manually reassigning all the tracks?
