How to record a basic turntable from a blueprint? Need complete workflow.

I have read many tutorials on creating a turntable of an asset from a blueprint, but none detail the workflow from start to finish. I am coming to unreal from VFX 3d / maya and am new to this whole games thing…I’m finding unreal very confusing.

I am trying to deliver a simple turntable of an asset for approval to a client. I have a blueprint which effectively rotates my geo nicely when I hit “Play” (on the top menu bar) and I can walk around it spinning slowly. Great.

What I can’t do is figure out how in the world to record this through a camera in the sequencer. I have read all the sequencer docs. What I need is a step by step workflow on how to do this exact thing because I haven’t been able to figure it out. The only way I seem to be able to trigger my blueprint to rotate my asset is by hitting “play” on the top menu bar…which is not what I want. I set up a 50mm camera looking at my asset and I think I have created a proper sequence but I cannot seem to trigger it to spin when I want to record it in the sequencer.

Are turntables common in the games world? They are very common in production 3d and vfx. Can someone who does this regularly explain their workflow from start to finish (especially including the whole “recording” part)?
