G-SYNC Causing Massive Slowdown

Hey Everyone,

I’ve been grappling with an issue for the past few hours and thought I’d throw this out there.

Whenever I would launch the editor the framerate would not budge from 23FPS. Tried messing with scalability settings to no avail. Tried setting the min/max FPS values and it stayed at 23.

I’ve managed to get the engine to run up to ~150FPS on Epic scalability settings after disabling G-SYNC on my monitor.

This makes me sad because G-SYNC is amazing. Is there any fix for this that I’m not seeing?

I have an ASUS GL702VM.

It has an i7 6700HQ
12GB DDR4 RAM
and a 6GB GTX 1060

And if it helps:

Thanks!

Would love to see if this has been solved? I just bought a new G-sync monitor and I am running into the same issue

You shouldn’t be using Gsync while in the editor. Its a windowed application after all. If you are hitting over 150fps you dont need Gsync on anyway
Turn gsync on when you are testing a built version of your game
