Panning camera along character's vision?

I’m completely new to UE4 (downloaded it yesterday) and so far, everything’s been going smoothly, and I’ve been able to look up or figure out solutions for every problem so far. Only there’s one specific thing I can’t work out, and while it isn’t exactly mandatory, I still would like to know some way of doing it. In a 3d sidescroller, how can I make the camera pan around dependent on the rotation of the player character? Basically have the character in the bottom left when walking right and the bottom right when walking left. I know how to set up the camera to pan along and be focused on the right spot, but how do I make it change smoothly during gameplay?

Basically this, but possible in both directions.

Sorry if this is a silly question, it probably is, but like I said, complete newbie here.
