4.14.3 UE4 crashing when re-importing .fbx

This has only started to happen recently, but whenever I re-import a .fbx the engine just crashes on me. Oddly enough, despite not working last night, today it started out working fine, but then all of a sudden the problem began again. This has happened on my own PC, as well as a PC I use at my uni.

I don’t know if this is a common issue, but is there any reason or solution for this problem? I have to delete and import everything again which is kinda long because they have to be in pretty much the exact same spot.

I found if you import with no material channels it can cause issues when you import with (or without) materials selected and there can be issues when you import a mesh thats been assigned a material ID by the editor. Those are acouple of things you could check anyway, sometimes I find I have to import again (instead of reimport) to make it work.

This could possibly be a known issue depending on the asset and import settings. Would you mind providing a sample FBX that reproduces the crash for you? Also, a screenshot of your import settings, so I can test to see if we get the crash on our side.
