Marketplace does not recognize 4.2.1 source installation even after VersionSelector

I had older source install. Then yesterday, I installed from source the newest 4.2.1 version and followed instructions to run UnrealVersionSelector-Win64-Shipping.exe (I’m on win7 64bit) Launcher still does not recognize the installaion.

What to do?

Hi Sizur -

After you have compiled from source, can you run [Drive, location where you compiled]:\UnrealEngine\Engine\Binaries\Win64\UE4Editor.exe and let me know what version shows up in the Unreal Editor 4 Black splash window?

Thank You

64bit Version 4.2.1

After I uninstalled the Launcher, and clicked on Marketplace from the new 4.2.1 Editor, it installed a new Launcher and just started downloading Editor 4.2.0. 4.2.1 is still not recognized.

Hi Sizur -

This is due to the fact that the Launcher is still on 4.2.0. We often refer to this as the Binary version of the engine. Until we launch that preview build on the Binary version, the Marketplace and Launcher will always run off of the 4.2.0 build. The sample content can be downloaded at through the launcher then can be converted in place using your Source build of the engine.

Thank You -
