Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Can't LaunchUE4, Problem with AMD drivers

Hi guys,

I am new to Unreal Engine and game programming in general. I am not well educated when it comes to software regarding this stuff, but I'm trying. I am having an issue where if I open up the Epic Games Launcher and try to launch the Unreal editor, it says the following: "The installed version of the AMD graphics river has known issues. Please update to the latest driver version." I tried going to AMD's website and doing just that but it did not seem to help. The error box also says I have Catalyst 15.7.1 installed and 16.300.2311.0 is recommended but I am not sure where to find that or if I should even be installing that driver. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi zroland,

I'm going to need some more info. Could you post your dxdiag (system specs)?

Windows: Go to the Start menu and type ‘dxdiag’ into the search bar. Open the file and then click ‘Save All Information’. Post that text file here.

Mac: Go to the Apple menu and click ‘About This Mac’.

From your dxdiag it doesn't look like you are actually using 15.7.1. Are you sure the driver was installed correctly?

Here is some basic instructions from the AMD website. Let me know if that helps. You may need to contact AMD support as well.

Once your driver is updated, let me know if the engine launches for you or not.
