Translucent material (water) looks different in the editor than in game (PIE)

I am using a modified version of the Lake water from the content examples. I only recently switched my water shader Lighting mode to “Surface ForwardShading” (Translucency Section) to be able to use Screenspace Reflections (due to Texture Sampler limitations).

Now in the editor most of the time everything looks fine (top picture). But when I start the game (Play in editor), the shoreline’s white foam becomes some kind of dark blueish and is barely noticable. (bottom picture) Also the color of the water seems to shift.
