Windows Build Failed

Hi there, I’m pretty new to UE4 and created all of the game with blueprints. I downloaded Visual Studio 2015 (Community with Updates) as well - I noticed several other posts with possible fixes but they didn’t work for me. I would be really grateful for any help!

DriftingSakura,

UnrealBuildTool: Visual C++ 2015 toolchain does not appear to be correctly installed. Please verify that "Common Tools for Visual C++ 2015" was selected when installing Visual Studio 2015. UATHelper: Packaging (Windows (64-bit)): UnrealBuildTool: ERROR: Windows SDK v8.1 must be installed in order to build this target.

You’re going to need to install the Visual C++ 2015 toolchain for Visual Studio. If you run the VS2015 installer again it should prompt you to either “Repair” “Modify” or “Uninstall”. Select Modify and in the next screen find Common Tools near the bottom of the list. Check this box and continue through the modify process. Once this finishes you should be able to create projects normally. If that doesn’t resolve your issue, please check out [this thread][1] too.

Thanks!
