Problems with the NEW Raw input Plugin for flight sticks

I have mapped Figured out the Axis for my Thrustmaster T-flight x

  • Axis 8 = ? No affect
  • Axis 7 = ? No Affect
  • Axis 6 = Z Axis.
  • Axis 5 = RZ Axis.
  • Axis 4 = Slider 0
  • Axis 3 = Y Axis
  • Axis 2 = X Axis
  • Axis 1 = HAT

No idea how You would be able to configure Multiple axis

There seems to be an issue with the Yaw pitch & roll axis.
If i Set yaw input value to 1 Without me touching the joystick it will rotate permanently clockwise.
If I set it to -1 it will do the same anti clockwise.
Using the input to yaw the opposite way only stops the spinning but Turning the way It was spinning just speeds it up I cant Turn in the other direction.
I have tried multiple setups in the input settings without results.

Is it me or is there a BUG?

Hey -

Can you post a screenshot of your current settings for the Raw Input plugin? Is the Vender ID & Product ID fields set? Do you have anything set in the Offset value or have the Inverted checkbox checked for any of your axes?

Just looked & I honestly never knew that sub section existed . Let me work on and see If I can fix it Because they are all left blank

How would I get the ID to enter?

In local test the ID fields were auto-populated if the device was plugged in when the project was launched. Let me know if you’re able to restart the project / create a new project with the device attached. Additionally, please provide a screenshot of your current Raw Input plugin setup.

This is what i get from starting a a brand new project (Flying template) with the flight stick connected

Update!
After testing this thoroughly over the last 24 hours I can confirm there is defiantly a bug here
the Root of which seems to be the following below

All the Axis Inputs ,X, Y, Z, RZ are only working in one Axis direction. and moving the axis in to the Apposite direction only stops the spinning like it is resetting axis to Zero.

The axis 1 option I get is the hat controller ,but its seen as a single axis when its Physically 2. and its not working the right way from my tests.

There is two other axis options 7 & 8 That do absolutely nothing! .
Hope this Is fixed soon as I have waited ages for this feature

thanks to
User ptjackson in the UE4 forums I managed to come up with this . which seems to have fixed it
Reading my axis from a print string, it was 0.5 in every direction with the flight stick at rest.
So adding a minus of .5 to each axis set the axis back to zero.
Hope this helps others out

There as still problems with the 2 unidentified axis that seem to do nothing, and the Hat controller being seen as a single axis even though I believe its a digital D pad
