Unable to package for android

I’m using the GitHub version of the engine and I have downloaded all android components using CodeWorks(1R4u2). I’m trying to package a very simple project (No materials, textures or meshes, just a level and a UMG widget blueprint) for android but it fails with this log messages:

I think the problem has something to do with this message:

“Failed to find compressor for texture format ‘AutoETC1’”

and a few lines later it says :

Critical Error:
Assertion failed: Mips.Num() > 0 [File:E:__03__Engines\Unreal Engine 4.13.2\UnrealEngine-release\Engine\Source\Runtime\Engine\Private\TextureDerivedData.cpp] [Line: 1233]

I also read [this][2] post that seemed to have a similar problem but the accepted answer don’t work for us since we have no texture or material in our contents. I also tried to package a complete blank project which failed similarly.

There is also [this][3] post which suggests (although didn’t fully solved his/her problem) to rebuild the engine after downloading android SDK to get rid of the “Failed to find compressor” message. We had built the engine with developmentEditor/win64 after we got the SDK but the message still appears.

I don’t know if it is related or not, but I can’t see android in the solution platform dropdown in Visual Studio, I read somewhere that we have to build UE4 project with Development configuration for Android solution platform to generate “Android Binaries”, see my previous post [here][4] about this issue.

P.S.1 I’m using 4.13.2 from GitHub, Windows 10 and Visual Studio 2015

Progress update: the project packaged successfully using android “ASTC” format. but ETC1 is still problematic

Could you please check to see if this is happening in a newly created template packaging for ETC1? Could you also delete the Intermediate and Saved folders from the project and let me know the outcome?
