Overworld Music

Hello,

I am building a FFVII prototype that has an overworld and a battle level.

I would like to have overworld music play, then when getting too close to an enemy, it fades out and plays a short stinger sound cue before loading the battle level.

My first instinct is to place the overworld music into the level blueprint and the stinger cue in the enemy bp, but I am not able to communicate between my level blueprint and the enemy actor I am colliding with. Does anyone have any tips on how to solve this?

Ex of how I’m thinking:
In level blueprint > Begin play > Fade in Sound (Overworld Music) > Set Music Started variable to True
In enemy bp > On Actor Collision > If Music Started is True > Fade out Overworld Music > Play Stinger cue > Load Battle Level

I figured this out.

Create Overworld music off of BeginPlay in GameMode Blueprint > Set ‘Current Music’ to Music
In Enemy actor, on componentoverlap > Cast to game mode > Check if Music is on > if current music is on fade out
