Global Illumination post effect changed?

since upgradeing to 4.15 the indirect lighting color and indirect lighting intensity setting in the global Illumination tab of the post effect settings no longer does anything. if i show volume light samples they all aprear black also. is this intended behavior and the GI settings are being fazed out? or is it a bug?

Hi Ivy,

Have you tried rebuilding lighting for your scene? If the samples are black that could mean either lighting needs to be rebuilt to get proper sample lighting or that you’re not using a static/stationary light source so there wouldn’t be any generated sample data.

When I checked this with an unbound post process volume everything seems to be working as I would expect. If you’re still having the issue, try a new default scene with some indirectly shadowed areas.

Found the problem when i checked my lightmaps… seems as if the mobility of my directional light had changed from stationary to moveable (as its Root component was moveable). so all the lightmaps where black. thanks for the help, got me on the right track :slight_smile:
