The face of nightmares! Help please

So attached is what all my imports from Maximo are coming out as. Everything shows up right, but the face is a monstrosity. Now if I was aiming for a zombie … that’d be a good start. Or some kind of mad scientist thing gone wrong XD.

But as is … I have no idea how to fix it, and it doesn’t fix itself when I try reimporting the mesh nothing happens. Anyone know how to fix this?

Could you attach an image of what it is supposed to look like. I’ve downloaded quite a few characters from Mixamo and sometimes things can go wrong but it shouldn’t be anything we can’t fix. Also what version of Unreal are you using?

you need to fix the material. they are imported wrong the most time. post your material we can help you setup, but try masked blend mode and drag the alpha of your base color to opacity mask input. try translucent blend mode otherwise.

Just woke up. and I do. And I also found the error somewhat, but not the fix. It was in the imported materials. If I delete the material and use what textures that do exist in file. I get this in lit form:

and this in unlit:

And this is what it is supposed to look like:

That’s the material they send with the image. And I didn’t know that it was a common error. I didn’t see anything on Google, and none of the youtube vids on Mixamo to UE4 ever mentioned anything about it. It also doesn’t help that skin tutorials use options and links for things that no longer exist in UE4’s engine.

As for what model. I’m using 4.15, the latest model (redownloaded 3 days ago.).

I’ve worked the last days a lot with mixamo characters  it strongly depends and is kind of confusing how you need to setup your material.
if you still have problems try this one

That worked perfectly :). Thank you very much for your help ^_^.

great to hear. please upvote the answer and mark the question as solved  thank you
