Is there a way to bump foliage painting density past the 'maximum' value?

I’m currently working on some terrainstuffs, involving a bunch of grass, and i’m getting very patchy placement of foliage, specifically the smaller elements.

i can type-in the value 2, to get it higher than the slider-default of 1, but it won’t go past 2.
It’d be nice if i could set it to 5 or something?

Under the painting options of the single meshes you can adjust the density of a particular mesh to a value of 1000 x 1000 per Unit-area.
