UE4 with Xbox Live integration for Windows

Hi,

we’ve been told by Microsoft that there is a UE4 version with Xbox Live support for Windows, and that we should request Epic for access. On contacting support we were told to ask here on AnswerHub, so here goes.

Is there an UE4 version with Xbox Live support for Windows? How can we get access to it?

We already have access to the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the Engine through the FTP, in case that makes any difference.

Thanks

Hi Jorge.

I’m sorry for the redirection you have been getting between Microsoft and Epic. I hope I can give some clarity without adding to it much more! But first a disclaimer that I am not intimately familiar with this process because Epic does not directly support UWP or Xbox Live for Windows, that is all managed by Microsoft. Epic’s role is only in granting access to the XB1 console code via the FTP, which you say has been completed.

I’d like to direct you to either of these links:

At the bottom of either page, you will notice:

"Xbox Live

Xbox program partners can also request
an Xbox Live-ready UWP branch of the
Unreal 4 Engine through their
Microsoft Developer Account Manager
(DAM)."

According to the official information, you will need to get access to the Xbox Live branch via your Microsoft Account Manager. I hope this helps set you on the right path and you can continue development soon.

Cheers!

Hi Stephen,

thanks for the reply. Knowing that Epic does not directly support Xbox Live for Windows, we will take the issue to Microsoft again and see if we can sort it out.

Cheers!
