Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Android can't package, automation tool error 5

I can't package my game for android, the process fails during the building phase. More details to come... I'm trying more stuff that take some time, but I'm seeing some people with the same problem that were not able to resolve, so I'm posting so i update on the situation.

The problem came out after I update to 4.15 and to the latest version of my shield tablet (android 7.0)

Product Version: UE 4.15

Ok, i sorted out the problem. I'm sorry I don't have the precise error log to show you the exact problem i was having. The error was the automation tool exiting during the build with error 5.

This error do not allow me to package or launch the game on android. I use a Nvidia shield Tablet, first generation, lately updated to android 7.0 (January 2017). So, I always thought the problem was due to android sdk.

SOLUTION: I remove all the NVPACK from my computer, and I used the CodeWork for Android 1r5 that is packed with UE 4.15 , I reinstall all the Android sdk (version 24), and everything started working correctly. I was able to launch to my android devices with the latest updated Android's sdks.

Creating a new project did not resolve the problem.

Hopefully this is useful to somebody ;)

I'm having problems launching on my Shield also. Could you post a screenshot of this page on the setup you get it to work on? Thankyou! alt text

Hi, I'm late on this, i hope i help somebody else. But i think ur problem is simply having the old Android version, just update to the latest as i suggested, Android 22 or before doesn't seem to work on shield tablet. Anyway, i left all blank and SDK API Level and NDK API Level on 'Latest' ; i think everything is on default values, i try setting those options too, the problem is not there.
