4.15 Matinee Render Movie Constantly Crashing

I have been trying to render a movie for the past 30 minutes to no avail. It starts out fine, but then a couple minutes into it the engine crashes on me. Don’t recall ever having this issue before in other versions, and unfortunately downgrading isn’t an option since 4.15 is my base version for this project. I have a marketplace product launching in a day and the plan was to launch the video alongside its release. I am using the legacy matinee tool. I have some crash logs though I’m not sure which parts would be required for you to get a look at what could be causing it? Please advise. Thanks.

I’m also experiencing this. I have a Master Sequence I’m trying to render out to frames. It was originally in 4.14, and was crashing after rendering out only a couple dozen frames. I opened it in 4.15 and am still getting the same result.

Admittedly, it may be a problem with my project, because it’s also not rendering out the frames it should be (it’s rendering my First Person Character instead of my CineCamera).

Can you upload the latest crash log? Upload all of it is best I guess

Go figure, shortly after my last posting I was able to complete a successful render (after 15-20 varied prior attempts). I did add an additional cam track, and perhaps that made the difference. I’m new at sequencing, so it doesn’t all make sense to met yet.

UE did crash later after sitting idle for a few hours. Apparently it just kept sucking up RAM (15.9 gigs worth) until it just bonked out. And I didn’t see your post about the crash log until after I closed it. If it crashes again, I’ll post it here. Thanks

After adding a couple more shots, it crashed on render again, this time about 2/3 the way through. Attached is the crash log, which is pretty massive, but most of it appears to be a similar error that I don’t understand. Any insight about what I’m doing wrong would be fantastic!

So based on your crash log, I’m assuming you’re attempting to log something somewhere and that’s crashing. Does the name “DropPath” ring any bell? It seems like you’re passing an invalid argument (or some code that you are using), in the log function.
If that’s not the case then I must ask you, have you recently upgraded your engine version? Then that may be causing the issues.

At risk of sounding like a real noob, the name “DropPath” doesn’t ring any bell, and I’m not using any code (none that I’ve explicitly written).

I originally created the project in 4.14 and was having the problem. I tried updating to 4.15 but am still having the same problem. It seems like sometimes it renders and most times it crashes.
