Does the plugin system allow for supporting other version control systems?
Can we toggle off perforce, maybe in the settings or programmatically?
To answer your other question, you can disable Perforce in the editor’s preferences. Just search for “source control”.

We are currently working on expanding plugin support for source control integration. Once complete you will likely be able to choose your source control provider in your editor preferences. Specifics about how these plugins will be written are not yet available, but will be mentioned in the release notes in the build they are introduced.
