Should I be getting such low FPS?

Hi, I have recently started fiddling around with UE4, and it seems I have really low framerate. The scene bellow consists of 2 geo cubes and a single spot light, with nothing else in the scene.

My computer specs are:

i7 4960x 6 core CPU

24gb ram

Radeon 7970 3gb GPU

My friend has been using Unity for a while, so in terms of engine performance that’s what I know about, and it has about 2000+ FPS in the same scene without vsync on. Personally I wouldn’t mind it, but if I wanted to make sure my scene was able to be run at 120 FPS on a worse PC setup, I wouldn’t know what I could do to change that since under my specs I can barely reach above 60. During this time, and at all times, my GPU is running at 100% power somehow.

My hardware seems to be detected properly, based on the ini file I opened up. So I’m stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have gotten my frame rate to 113 without the cubes and light. So it’s probably not that. I have smooth framerate checked on at min 120, max 200, and preferred framerate at 120. Though I have tried with it off. Unless you’re referring to a different setting I missed.

That, to me, looks like your refresh rate is 75Hz and the viewport is locked to VSync.
