Is everything free in Unreal Engine while making game?

Hello everyone, I know that unreal engine is free for downloading and then also for making game, but what i am confuse about is that is everything in unreal engine is free? for example, In unity 3d some packages are only supported in pro version (that is unity is not free in everything), I want to know is there a same thing in unreal engine or really every thing is free to use?

You have to know this: There are three models of licensing for Epic Games:

  • When is the free license, you are subject to UE EULA
  • If you get the Basic license you get custom enterprise B2B agreement
  • If you get Premium license you get Basic License + Unreal Developer Network (UDN) for support.

So, answering you question, if you create Blueprints, Meshes, Materiales, Archviz, etc from scratch, they are yours. You can sell them, distribute them, or keep them. If someone else buy your market content, he can use the content to make games, or whatever he wants but, not re-sell your content.

You neither are able in free license to take the core code from the engine and use it or modify it.

You can enter to UE Marketplace in order to take a look to the license model of the asset it contains.

That’s generally right - free UE4 access is governed by the EULA. Under the EULA, UE4 is free to use, and generally subject to a 5% royalty on gross revenue unless one of the royalty exemptions applies.

We don’t have elements of UE4 only available for an additional fee, other than the items in the Marketplace (from third parties).

I think it’s fair and true to say that UE4 is really free to use, but if you sell a product, you likely have to pay the royalty.

Hey Canon, I don’t know how to report a bad question… Sorry if this is not the best option to post the comment but I think this question has to be removed:

If you can tell me how to do that I would appreciate it
