Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How do I fix my sprite material?

Hey all, I've been struggling with this for quite some time now and I figured it was about time I asked for some help. I'm relatively new to using unreal and one of the issues I have come up against is how to set-up my 2D Sprite material correctly. I am currently using the "MaskedUnlitSpriteMaterial" except I have modified it to be lit now.

However, this is the issue I am now facing. I want the sprite to look like the original sprite I made when fully lit. But instead it has this faded look... More importantly, I wanted the sprite to get much darker when unlit. Not necessarily 100% black but dark enough that the character doesn't look like they are glowing radioactively.

Sprite Comparison

I'm sure there is a way to do this properly. But I lack the knowledge on how to do it correctly. If anyone can point me to a tutorial or even just show me how it is done I would really appreciate it.

Warm regards,

Jonathan Crow.
