Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hey TheDevil,

Can you include a DxDiag report for the machine you are running on?

Thanks,

-Steve

Hi TheDevil,

Sorry for the delay. If you run Windows Task Manager while attempting the launch the editor, do you see UE4Editor.exe running in the background?

avatar image TheDevil Jun 21 '14 at 03:44 AM

Yeah , It's Running but Like I Told You Nothing Happen

So the UE4Editor is running in the Task Manager, but never appears on screen. And you have tried forcing the application to close via the Task Manager, and re-launching the editor, and the same issue occurs again, is that correct?

Do you currently have up-to-date drivers for your video card?

Yes Nvidia 340.43

Hey TheDevil,

If you are still experiencing this crash, can you check for any log files present in your install folder? The default location would be: C:\Program Files\Unreal Engine\4.1\Engine\Saved\Logs

If you have any logs there, if you can include the most recent one (check by timestamp) that would be most helpful. You may need to zip/rar it up before you can attach it on AnswerHub.

Also, have you tried updating to 4.2 to see if you still crash on launch in that version?
