Unreal not using my GameEngine?,
Hi, I am working on a project that requires me to overwrite Unreal's GameEngine.
I derived a class from UGameEngine
And I integrated it by editing DefaultEngine.ini
However, when trying to use UE4_LOG on either of the functions in the engine nothing is printed on the console I also tried to force a crash by throwing an exception and dereferencing a NULL pointer on those functions but it didn't have any effect.
Is there any setup step I am missing? Or am I misanderstanding what overriding UGameEngine does?
Your class name is UMyEngine but in your DefaultEngine.ini, you are calling MyGameEngine.
Try changing your ini to:
