Is it possible to build for iOS without a Remote Server?

Whenever I attempt to build I get an error that says “Remote compiling requires a server name.” and I keep seeing in docs and tutorials that if I build a Blueprint project I wouldn’t need a Remote server. Even a fresh blueprint project asks for a Remote compiling server, though.

Hi Huogo,

You do not need to compile if you have a blueprints only project. Make sure you do not have any third party plugins enabled (Substance is common) and that you do not have remote server selected in your Project Settings>iOS>Remote Build options.

If this issue persists, please take a screen shot of your packaging settings and remote build settings and post for evaluation.

Thanks,

Removing the requirement of Substance from the project did fix the error requiring a remote compiling server. I was starting to think that maybe you guys had stopped pre-building the iOS modules for some reason.

I have tried to make the remote thing to work without success. I really needed to have the web browser and substance plugins to work. Managed to package without those plugins at least

Thanks
Anthony
