ue4 crash's upon importing models from asset pack

So ive just gotten the two content packs for ue4 one of which is from the cry engine developers themselves called “open world demo collection” from there showcase at ces and i think its great looking.

But the problem is every time i try to import one of the models from the content browser the application freeze's/stops responding even if i don't place them and i just grab it and move it an inch over it will freeze up completely pretty much making the entire thing pointless.

I still really want to use these two content packs and implement them into my world so please help if able too thank you.

Open World looks amazing, but the meshes are so big that they freeze projects a lot (ive seen it happen at least 5 times). You need to have a really good computer to use them or the freezing wont stop. What ive noticed is if you drag an asset into your level, the editor will freeze for like 5 to 30 minutes. just leave it alone and go do something else. Once the Mesh is actually in the level, it shouldnt freeze when you use THAT particular asset and you should be able to drag in as many as you want. But each asset you use will repeat the problem, so unless you really need them in your project, im going to say its probably not worth it, your better off buying a cheap one from the marketplace

you were right it did just take about 30 minuts or so to imort i put it into the foliage editor and its working perfectly fine for me now im able to just drag many into my environment without any problem thanks
Will i have to do this everytime i make a new project or is it just a one time thing for the engine itself.
