Unreal DevGrant and taxes
Our accountant tries to file the Unreal DevGrant we have received last year.
Do you have any experience, how dev studios which are companies (LLC or similar) classify and file grants like this? We didn't receive any documents from Epic (except for wire transfer) so its kind of tricky to handle at the moment.
Any help would be appreciated.

US based developers that receive a Dev Grant do receive an IRS form 1099 from Epic, after the end of the year. Dev Grant recipients outside the US do not receive any tax documentation. As there are numerous factors that can impact tax consequences (type of entity, region, etc), you should consult with a tax professional if there are any questions about any related tax impact.
