Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Help a noob sound designer!

Probably a simple answer but I'd like to make sure before I start. I'm doing my dissertation in music on horror game audio. My level design skills are non-existent and I don't want to spend the majority of my time designing an environment. If I purchase an environment from the store will I be able to swap out the audio for my own? This includes music, foley and ambient noises.

I think it depends on the environment you choose from the Marketplace but I'm 99% sure it should be a simple enough thing. You might also want to read up on how to play sounds via blueprints as well as all the fun stuff available in audio cues. That way you could strip all existing sounds and add your own in exactly the way you'd want.
