Will I be able to run Unreal Engine 4 with a NVIDIA GeForce 310

I want to buy Unreal Engine 4 but I am not sure if this pc can handle it here are some of the specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core™ i3 CPU 540 @ 3.07GHz

Graphics : NVIDIA GeForce 310

RAM : 4 GB

System type : 64-bit desktop pc

Windows 7

You need more Ram, at least 8gb and and a better video card. It is possible the computer will “run” it, but it may not be a desirable experience. Epic has told people in the past to go ahead an purchase it, then they’ll refund them if their system can’t handle it.

I think your going to have to spend about $200 to get that computer to where it’s a decent experience. Another 4gb ram and a low power card like a nvidia 750Ti.

Your video card is Direct X 10, not 11. Here is a link regarding that. Do you have to have Direct X 11 support for Unreal Engine to work? - Platform & Builds - Epic Developer Community Forums

The whole machine is somewhat under-spec. The processor is relatively weak and you’re lacking memory. The graphics card is the biggest issue - the 310 is definitely going to be a problem. It is an absolutely bottom-end card that isn’t intended to do much more than run Microsoft Office and watch Youtube videos. Chances are, it’s no better than the onboard packaged with your processor - I’d strongly suggest an upgrade.

Even though upgrading is suggested, if all you do is test code for an artist setting ue4 to its maximum lowest setting will run it decently enough.

I mis-read this initially, thought it was from the op.
