UE4 and Microsoft Edge do not work well together

After my last Windows update, it seems that the system will completely freeze while working on my project in UE4 and Microsoft Edge is running in the background. This is not feasible for me at all, as I use Google and this site heavily to look up a problems or tutorials I need to see while working in the editor. I am wondering if anyone here which there computer is not that powerful knows if setting Microsoft Edge to load text only would lower the amount of conflicts, or does UE4 have the ability to increase the scratch disk limit? I am afraid to change Microsoft Edge’s process priority, because it gives a warning that doing so may cause the system to be unresponsive, or if it would change anything.
