When taking in-editor screenshots, the axis in the bottom left corner remains. I can’t find it in the show menu.

What you’re looking for is GameMode. That will also hide all billboards in the editor window.
You can activate it by pressing G in the editor window or selecting it in the dropdown menu of the little arrow left of “Perspective” in the editor viewport.
