Level sequencer and montage 4.15

Hi.

Before 4.15 we had montage being played in level sequencer. Now they do not show up in the dropdown anymore.
You can drag them in, but this will only lead to tpose being played.

Our case is where we have a character that you meet ingame (she runs an “idle” montage) and as you come close we start a cinematic where we take control over her and changes her anim. Using montage, we would get nice blend in the transition. Now that I can not use the montage (since it does not animate), I’ve tried using the animation directly, but this gives no blending. I’ve also tried to use the new weight value in the level sequencer, but this does not seem to care about the animation that was played before the sequencer started, and the animation just pops in.

Support for montages in animation tracks was removed because you CAN blend animations directly in sequencer now.

Yeah I know, but the problem for me is that the cinematic takes control over an existing character when it starts. And at that point, the level sequencer does not seem to care about blending from the currently running animation, even if you set the weight values at the start of the first animation in the level sequencer editor.

You can always try running your sequencer animations through slots in your AnimBP. This can allow you to control the blend in the AnimBP
