Feed POM function with non-T2d-heightmap

Hey,

I basically want to create a hole and be able to change parameters of this hole (without texture to stay flexible).
Any chance to realise this red wire? Converting to Texture2D or changing something in POM function?
Same for the “NormalFromHeightmap”-function…

Additional question:
Is it better to have more steps or more aggressive dither to remove artifacts (white->black)? Performance- & visual-wise

You would have to put your math inside the POM function to do that. And you will pay the cost of whatever you doing for every step.
