How come when I import a 2D Texture, it changes color?

I have a 2D texture that I would like to use in GUI, but every time I import it, the color of the actual texture gets changed. The texture gets a lot lighter and in my case, goes from a dark-blue to a really light-blue. Is there someway to fix this?

Hi ProfessionsQuest -

Without looking at a screenshot comparison between the two, I would say that it probably has to do with the type and setup of your texture. Is your texture a 16 bit, that will import as a lighter looking texture. Also un-checking the sRGB may also solve your issue.

Sorry about not posting pictures but that was it! The SRGB unchecked did the trick. Thanks so much!

Where do I un-check the sRGB?

best way to success - import only *.targa textures ,no * png, no tiff, no jpeg ,8 bit or 16 bit change little bit not making textures from dark blue to light blue, and last , my opinion check the metallic info in material , (default is black) maybe this metallic param need change ,it is real usually mistakes
