Landscape improperly casting shadows?

Kind of new to UE4, trying currently to make a rough landscape. As you can see the sides are raised, is it possible for them to cast shadows like mountains? Or will I need to use static meshes to make this possible? I’ve put in a box behind the moutains a moment ago and it “generates” the shadow corretly, but even this mesh I have in there now isn’t generating a proper shadow… Sorry if this is an easy one, taking it a step at a time!

Have You built lighting?

Make a new level with just a Light Source, simple landscape with some hills and Lightmass importance volume. Build lighting. And see what happens then. Does problem still persists?

Yes a few times for safe measure :frowning:
