Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Wierd Reflections in UE 4.15

Hello, I have problem rendering reflections, basically everywhere, on water, or on any reflective material. Tried playing in multiple graphical settings, got same result. Thank you very much for help.

Starting with the documentation for Reflections is a good start.

You can read about that here: Reflection Environment

Specifically, the issue you're seeing is related to Screen Space Reflections which you can read about on this page.

The docs.UnrealEngine.com page is a very powerful search tool for these types of things. You can search a topic and then look specifically in Documentation, AnswerHub, Forums, etc individually if you need.

This didn't help.

Is there a proper way to show reflections, I do not care about performance?

Those settings above still won't make parts of the mesh that cannot be seen visible in the reflection. For static object, reflection captures (box/sphere) will work. For dynamic options you can use Planar Reflections. You can search the documentation to find that.
