Accidentally Deleted the BP_Sky_Sphere

Type “sky” into the search box of the object placement tab (near the top-left corner of the editor) and drag the BP_Sky_Sphere_C blueprint into the level to get your sky sphere back.

If it’s just hidden you can show all hidden actors with CTRL+H.

I think I may have accidentally deleted or hid the BP_Sky_Sphere.

Total noob question, but how do I get it back!?

Thanks for the quick response Alderbit.

I tried that on my scene and the only thing that comes up is Sky Light, nothing else. I tried it on a new clean Example scene and it worked. So somehow that blueprint no longer exists anywhere in the project’s directory?

Yeah, digging around more in my scene it looks like one difference between mine and the example scene which has a working bp_sky_sphere is that I can browse the Engine directory in the example scenes content browser. In my scene I can’t see the engine path at all. Do you think this might have anything to do with the issue?

Very strange, the sky sphere blueprint belongs to the engine and isn’t tied to any project so I wonder why it’s not showing up? Try to enable ‘Show Engine Content’ in the view options at the bottom of the content browser. The blueprint should be in the Engine\EngineSky folder.

Hi Grooveholmes,

Alderbit’s comment should get you to the BP_Sky_Sphere. Since we haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you still have questions about this, please feel free to post back here.

Thanks, TJ

hi,
same thing happens to me when i accidentally deleted the PB sky sphere, found it on the research tab, place it again, but nothing happens (no clouds)

Any update on the subject?

Thanks

Maroo

Hi Maroo,

I just checked this in 4.9.1. Just change the Sun Height value to 1.0.

Let me know if that works for you.

Cheers,

TJ
