About royalties in an escaperoom challenge
Hello. I have been tasked with making a small game to be part of an escape room challenge.
An escape room challenge is a real life "game" where you are locked in a room and solve puzzles to escape.
The game I will be making will be one of these puzzles. I am considering using unreal for this. The game would be a time based animation, where when the player inputs the corect code (found in the room), the animation changes and they are given a new code (to be used in the room).
I will be paid for making the game, and the escaperoom business is paid when people play their rooms. The game I am making, will in it self, not be for sale, it is only a part of the escape room challenge.
So I am wondering if there would be any royalties due for this. For either me or the escaperoom business? And if not would I still need to notify Epic?
Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the note. I love Escape rooms. This sounds like a fun project.
Based on your description of the application no royalty would be due on this application.
