How would I export my material to put into the asset store?

Hi, I’m new to Unreal and the workflow. This is the material I’m trying to export to put on the market place. I’ve tried exporting it and importing it into another project to test it but nothing carries over. I know about the “Migrate” option to move it between projects, but I’m trying to successfully import it and have it fully function as if I purchased it from the marketplace. I’ve also created an instance of it and that didn’t work either.

  1. You just showed us the material you want to sell on the marketplace. we can all recreate it now.
  2. Its very basic, generic, and anybody can recreate it easily with just regular epic learning project content.
  3. Epic upholds a certain quality of content, 1 material wont cut it, especially not something simple as this.
  4. the ue4 marketplace section has information for sellers on how to prepare, finish, and send content to the marketplace team to check out the content (and in this case decline it)
  5. Migration is the way to go, quite a few answerhub/forum threads/google searches with good results.
  6. PBR.
  7. No need to have separate Texcoordinates, multiplies, and panners for the normal map and bottom fire texture.
  8. that fire texture looks a loooooooot like one of the first hits on google if you google “fire texture”

I’d suggest to keep practicing though, the material setup is rather clean, and you do seem to have a decent understanding of the material editor.
spend more time with it, read trough the marketplace submission ( http://help.epicgames.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2592186-marketplace-submission-guidelines-preparing-your-assets ) and enjoy playing around with it until you can present more, and more interesting content.

that fire texture looks like one of the first hits on google probably because it comes standard with Unreal, just look up T_Fire

You are not allowed to sell that anyways
